Episode #7 – Contaminants in the Arctic

A contaminant is a compound present in an environment in higher concentration than its natural presence. When it has a negative effect on the biology of that environment, the contaminant becomes a pollutant. This episode features three scientists studying the presence of contaminants in Arctic waters. They were aboard the Amundsen to collect water and sea ice samples for analysis at their respective laboratories.
