It’s almost time to set sail on Canada’s only research icebreaker, the CCGS Amundsen, for its 2024 scientific expedition. Before leaving her home port for 4 months, the Amundsen enters a period of scientific mobilization. For two weeks, the Amundsen Science team is working with the Canadian Coast Guard to install several tons of instruments and equipment on board for the scientific operations planned in Arctic and sub-Arctic waters.
