Des op\u00e9rations scientifiques in\u00e9dites dans ces r\u00e9gions fragiles aux changements climatiques et peu \u00e9tudi\u00e9es sont pr\u00e9vues sur un total de 56 jours en mer, \u00e0 bord du brise-glace de recherche canadien, le NGCC <em>Amundsen<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La r\u00e9gion de Tuvaijuittuq est l&rsquo;une des meilleures sentinelles des processus qui affectent l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an aujourd&rsquo;hui, dans un contexte de changement global : perte de la glace de mer, modification du cycle de l&rsquo;eau, fonte du perg\u00e9lisol, acidification, pollution et \u00e9volution de la biodiversit\u00e9 \u00bb, souligne Mathieu Ardyna, professeur au laboratoire international de recherche Takuvik, issu d&rsquo;un partenariat entre l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Laval et le Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), qui m\u00e8ne le programme REFUGE-ARCTIC.<\/p>\n<p>Plus de 55 scientifiques issus de 21 laboratoires fran\u00e7ais et de 10 laboratoires internationaux participent aux op\u00e9rations scientifiques. Au cours du premier segment de l\u2019exp\u00e9dition Amundsen 2024, d\u00e9but\u00e9 le 8 ao\u00fbt, les \u00e9quipes documenteront plus de sept fjords dans le d\u00e9troit de Nares. Les caract\u00e9ristiques des glaciers massifs pr\u00e9sents dans ces fjords, qui forment un v\u00e9ritable continuum entre la terre et l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an, seront \u00e9tudi\u00e9es en d\u00e9tail.
