Les APFA sont des contaminants que l&rsquo;on trouve en fortes concentrations au Nunavik et qui peuvent avoir des effets n\u00e9gatifs sur la sant\u00e9 cardiom\u00e9tabolique, car ils sont li\u00e9s \u00e0 des affections telles que l&rsquo;hypercholest\u00e9rol\u00e9mie, le diab\u00e8te et l&rsquo;hypertension art\u00e9rielle. Les scientifiques de cette \u00e9tude ont utilis\u00e9 diff\u00e9rentes mesures de l&rsquo;enqu\u00eate sur la sant\u00e9 Qanuilirpitaa ? men\u00e9e pour et par les Inuits \u00e0 travers les 14 villages du Nunavik \u00e0 bord du NGCC <em>Amundsen<\/em> en 2017. Plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, ils ont examin\u00e9 les marqueurs cardiom\u00e9taboliques (par exemple, LDL, HDL) et les r\u00e9sultats (par exemple, l&rsquo;hypertension art\u00e9rielle) \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;\u00e9chantillons de sang et d&rsquo;analyses de laboratoire. Leurs conclusions fournissent des preuves suppl\u00e9mentaires qu&rsquo;une exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 des m\u00e9langes d&rsquo;AAEFP peut augmenter le taux de cholest\u00e9rol et de lipoprot\u00e9ines.
